From Silence to Intention: Why I Showed Up
Jun 16, 2025
...When stillness must move...
There are moments when the world shifts—and you feel it.
Not always with sirens and headlines. Sometimes it arrives as a quiet heaviness in the chest.
A restlessness in your gut.
A question that won’t leave you alone: Is this the time I step forward?
For many of us, the path of presence—meditation, alignment, stillness—is sacred. We’ve learned to tune in, to regulate our nervous systems, to cultivate peace amidst chaos. We’ve taught ourselves and others how to breathe through the storm rather than become it.
I believe there are moments when presence must become visible. When stillness must move.
I felt that moment recently.
I didn’t plan to stand in the street or march across a bridge next to those carrying signs and chanting their thoughts about "what is."
But I did. I held the perimeter. I breathed love and light into the space. And I don’t regret it.
You may have seen politically focused posts in my social feed recently. You may have wondered why this meditating, cat wrangling, reiki teacher and soul-guided business advisor showed up to a protest.
Let me offer you the deeper truth:
Sometimes, what looks like a low point—globally or personally—isn’t the breakdown. It’s the activation.
It’s the very moment we’re being asked to choose what we stand for… not in opposition to others, but in alignment with what we want to see more of.
Empathy.
Autonomy.
Compassion.
Human dignity.
Justice that includes—not divides
... to name a few
In moments like these, energy alignment alone may not be the whole practice. It’s the root from which right action grows.
From that clarity, we can take inspired action.
We can hold a sign at a rally with the same love we bring to the meditation cushion.
We can walk beside strangers and still be in our highest vibration.
We can say this is not in alignment with our collective values —not out of rage, but from resonance.
I didn’t march because I’m angry. I marched because I’m clear.
And I shared it publicly not to provoke—but to stand in transparency.
To show that presence isn't passive.
That leadership requires visibility.
That love, when fully embodied, becomes action rooted in care.
So if you’re feeling that inner tug—the ache that says this matters—you’re not alone.
You might ask yourself gently:
What kind of world do I want to help create?
And what would it look like to align my energy, my heart, and my voice… to help bring it forth?
After all, we can be the change we wish to see....
Namaste.
